The success of a military battle is often dependent on good intel and this is equally true in spiritual warfare. Knowing the tactics and capabilities of the enemy is of great importance. Thanks be to God that He has given us Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church to provide trustworthy information on the enemy. Catholic exorcists have shared what they have learned over the course of many years delivering suffering people from bondage to the devil. The author has privately studied spiritual warfare/Catholic demonology over the course of a number of years. The Catholic faith has not only the answers to questions about extraordinary diabolical activity but it also has the solution for those who suffer from diabolical problems. There is a reason why pastors of other Christian denominations sometimes call upon the help of a Catholic exorcist when they come upon a particularly bad case of extraordinary diabolical activity.

This book provides suggestions of how to navigate the difficulties of living out the faith at a time in which scandals and confusion swirl around some members of the Church hierarchy.

Knowing the enemy isn’t enough. We must also know ourselves and the consequences of sin. Five chapters of this book offer the author’s meditations on the vivid visions of Our Blessed Lord’s Passion as depicted by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. These are meditations upon the consequences that sin has on the soul.

Knowing the enemy and knowing ourselves isn’t enough either. Most important of all is having a loving relationship with God. A loving relationship with God is a relationship that will be filled with prayer. With this in
mind, this book provides spiritual warfare prayers and prayers in both English and Latin. Knowing and making use of the proper spiritual weapons is crucial if we want to win this war while we are in the Church Militant here on earth.

I highly recommend this book to everyone because we truly need to know our enemy and how to use the weapons of our Catholic faith. This book is easy to read yet it is deep in knowledge of our faith. Chapter 18 is a must read on the loss of faith and the lack of charity that prevails in our world. There are also beautiful prayers at the end of the book. I will keep this book handy so I can refer to it often. The author is truly inspired.

For every Catholic there is a battle going on against the world, the flesh, and the devil as we strive to gain the blessings of Heaven. This book enlightens the battle by searching the wisdom of the Scriptures and the writings of the Saints. Tony manages to write in a way that gives hope to everyone, because Christ and Our Blessed Mother are always by our side to help us in every battle, and Christ has already defeated death and sin. It's an eye-opening book and a solemn reminder that our battle "is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, the rulers of this world of darkness."

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is packed with uncompromising truths of the Catholic faith, with focus on demonic activity throughout history—from the Garden of Eden to today—as Satan continues to try to bring as many victims to hell with him as possible. It also includes a chapter of the author’s own story of conversion/reversion (I love to read/hear people’s stories!), the Four Last Things, the Day of Wrath (including the lovely poem Dies Irae in Latin and in English!), spiritual warfare prayers, and prayers in English and Latin. The author makes good use of portions of Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which is so impactful to understanding all Our Lord endured for our salvation.

I read this book in just a couple of days cover to cover, but some of the chapters read as individual articles independent of their surrounding chapters versus flowing one into the next. One can then easily reread only what is pertinent to your need at the moment. For instance, I would easily use this book when praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary using the excerpts from chapters 11-15 to facilitate meditation.
