How about this. If known speed traps are deterrents and work to reduce speeders on the highway, then wouldn't a more severe sanction (the death penalty) work to deter criminals who might be so inclined to commit murder, mass murders, treason, etc.? How is it possible that deterrents work for speeders but bleeding heart liberals tell us that deterrents would not workfor murderers?
