Bishop Heiner Wilmer, 64, of Hildesheim, Germany, was elected president of the German Bishops’ Conference today. He joined the religious order of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians) at the age of 19. Pope Francis appointed him as Bishop of Hildesheim in 2018. "Blessing Ceremonies for Transvestites" In an October 2021 homily, he called for "a fresh perspective on sexuality". In 2022, he supported OutInChurch, a movement composed of homosexual Church employees. Following the Vatican's rejection of the blessing of same-sex unions, Monsignor Wilmer released a press statement (25 January 2022): "We must continue to discuss the blessing of same-sex couples and should not treat it as a taboo. The point is to acknowledge the lived realities of same-sex partnerships today." In September 2022, he voted in favour of a text from the German Synodal Way that sought to "change" Catholic sexual morality. The text called for the acceptance of homosexual acts and diverse fictive gender identities: "I …More
They are illicit. They have no mission in the church nor have they any authority to teach by virtue of their public display of heresy. That they have not been excommunicated is a dereliction of duty not green card for anyone to consider them legitimate.
My dear Cardinal Sarah, I read your recent essay on the SSPX with interest and, I must confess, great heartache. On February 22, 2026, Cardinal Robert Sarah—a respected voice for tradition in the Church—published an impassioned essay in the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche. Titled “Before it is too late!”, it’s a direct intervention against the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X’s (SSPX’s) announcement of episcopal ordinations without papal mandate. Sarah calls this a grave threat to Church unity, urging fidelity to the Pope as the successor of Peter. Among his strongest words: “One cannot claim to disobey the Church in order to save it. Disobedience to the Pope cannot be the ordinary path of salvation for souls.” And even more pointedly: “It is through obedience that Christ saved the world. It is not by rebellion that we will save the Church.” These quotes capture his core plea: stay in the boat of Peter, no matter the storm. Now, with that context, here’s my response to …More
A Canadian “human rights” tribunal just exposed the Orwellian strategy of the transgender movement—it seeks to weaponize “empathy” to demand allegiance to the absurd and dangerous idea that men can become women and vice versa. Barry Neufeld, a brave school board member in the city of Chilliwack, British Columbia, dared to speak out against a school program encouraging sexual orientation and gender identity called SOGI 1 2 3. Two teachers unions, the British Columbia Teachers Federation and the Chilliwack Teachers Association, sued Neufeld on behalf of members who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer for statements he made from 2017 to 2022. The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal found Neufeld liable for “hate speech” and discrimination in a ruling Wednesday. The tribunal ordered him to pay 750,000 Canadian dollars for violating the Human Rights Code, and it ordered him to pay another CA$10,000 in damages for violating the tribunal’s rules during …
This latest terrible British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal decision is an attack on Christian belief. It discriminates against Christians because bad policies and laws have empowered those with mental illusions.
Pope Leo XIV reportedly told Spanish bishops that the rise of far-right ideology was his “greatest concern in Spain”. According to ElPais.es on 23 February, he said this on 17 November during an audience with the executive commission of the Spanish Bishops Conference (nine prelates). El País, citing two senior churchmen familiar with the discussion, reports that the Pope cautioned that "extremist" movements are attempting to "win the Catholic vote" and instrumentalise the Church for partisan political ends. The paper adds that the bishops were surprised by how directly the Pope focused on the political issue of the right, rather than other concerns they had presented to him. Following the meeting, the bishops changed their stance on stalled abuse compensation negotiations and expressed support for the government's immigration plan. Picture: Vatican Media, #newsEwppevqqdp
24.02.2025 With unity in doctrine conservatives could collectively appeal to Pope Leo, to interpret Vatican Council II rationally, like the SSPX , SBC, F.I and Ecclesia Dei communities. Conservatives finally have a fixed tool to maintain doctrinal orthodoxy and unity. Bishop Bernard Fellay, Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani and Archbishop Annibale Bugnini did not know about this. Theology has ‘flipped’ dramatically with one small change- a change in a premise. We can all agree 1) that the red hypothetical passages in Vatican Council II (See graphics) do not contradict the blue orthodox passages. So 2) the blue orthodox passages in Vatican Council II dominate. They are aligned with extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and they make the text of Vatican Council II, ecclesiocentric. For Fr. Stefano Mannelli f.i, unfortunately, ‘the red was an exception for the blue’ but now he can change his interpretation of Vatican Council II, the Catechism of the Catholic Church etc. Fr. Manelli had a book …More

The state’s decision comes after a lawsuit essentially forcing it to back down from revocation of foster-care licenses for families holding traditional religious beliefs on sex and gender. The decision made it difficult for Christian foster parents to adopt children while staying true to Christian and normal biological views that boys and girls are different.
Cardinal Sarah expressed “deep concern and profound sorrow upon learning of the announcement by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X that it intends to proceed with episcopal ordinations without a pontifical mandate.” He wrote on LeJdD.fr that the decision would disobey the law of the Church. “We are told that this decision is motivated by the supreme law of the salvation of souls. But salvation is Christ, and He gives Himself only in the Church.” Cardinal Sarah warned that the ordinations could be “an irreversible rupture”: “How many souls risk being lost because of this new rupture?” “We are told that this act aims to defend Tradition and the faith. I know how much the deposit of faith is today sometimes despised by those who themselves have the mission to defend it.” His objection: “Faith can never lead us to renounce obedience to the Church.” “How can we continue to tear apart His Body under the pretext of saving souls?” Cardinal Sarah acknowledged that within the Church …More
The solution to this problem is almost as old as the Church. In the Catholic Church there are around 20 separate Rites. All are Catholic and recognize the authority of the Pope. After Vatican II the Latin Rite has been destroyed by the Novus Ordo and other novelties that are not Catholic. It is time to restore the Latin Rite by either removing the Novus Ordo and the other sacraments that were altered or separating the Latin Rite from the Novus Ordo Church. Then the Latin Rite can suggest good men to be bishops and Tradition can be restored to the Church.

During a pastoral visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus near Rome’s Termini station on February 22, Leo XIV shared a detail from his youth, reports Vatican News.va. He had briefly considered entering the Salesian order founded by St. John Bosco. “Before I entered the Augustinians, as a young man I also visited the Salesian community,” he said with a smile. “You came in second place — I’m sorry!” His remark drew laughter from the Salesians who run the parish. Leo XIV added that since his election, he has visited more Salesian communities than Augustinian ones, joking that perhaps “something of you has remained in my heart.” Speaking after the Eucharist, Leo XIV expressed appreciation for the Salesians’ work with young people, especially immigrants. Leo XIV served as Prior General of the Augustinian Order from 2001 to 2013. Picture: Vatican Media, #newsMuljhvgbzr
Joan of Arc is getting a new take on stage, with Mandipa Kabanda set to play Joan in Saint Joan, a “reimagining” of George Bernard Shaw’s classic play. Via Citizens Theatre, Mandipa Kabanda headlines the production as Joan in Saint Joan, a Raw Material, Perth Theatre and Aberdeen Performing Arts co-production in association with Citizens Theatre. The play puts Joan front and center as a young figure who shakes power structures and forces institutions to react. Mandipa Kabanda as Saint Joan What this Saint Joan is about Saint Joan is based on the true story of a sixteen-year-old girl who led France to victory in the Hundred Years War. This new version frames the story through modern lenses, focusing on power, gender, and youth-led change, and how someone from a marginalized background can impact international politics. The production positions Joan of Arc as the kind of unlikely revolutionary history keeps producing, which makes the story feel pointed in a time of political unrest …
On February 21, Leo XIV accepted the resignation of Archbishop Jean-Marie Speich as nuncio to the Netherlands. Monsignor Speich left The Hague only ten months after his appointment. Nuncios may retire upon reaching the age of 70 (and not only at 75). Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio to The Hague in April 2025. He turned 70 in June 2025. Had Monsignor Speich truly planned to step down at 70, he could have requested to remain in Slovenia until his birthday and then taken his leave. He became known for his role as nuncio in Slovenia in connection with the Marko Rupnik case. Rupnik is accused by two dozen former nuns of sexual perversion. Monsignor Speich is considered responsible for Rupnik's incardination in the diocese of Koper (Capodistria). Born in Strasbourg on June 15, 1955, Speich was ordained a priest in 1982 for the Archdiocese of Strasbourg. He joined the Holy See's diplomatic service in 1986 and served in numerous countries, including Haiti, Nigeria, Bolivia, Canada …More
