@Jeffrey Ade The problem of homosexuality has reigned in the Church for centuries, since before the time of Saint Peter Damian, who wrote and cried out against it. It has no modern birth. But has been allowed to linger long in the bowels of the Church, poisoning her deeply and thoroughly.
The bishop must say that these supposedly rejected young people (we'd have to see) have first rejected God's doctrine to live out their instincts and therefore do not deserve to be welcomed into the Church until they change.
