There’s a history of denying the existence of liturgical abuses. Didn’t Paul VI rush the promulgation of the Novus ordo because the abuses following the major changes in 1965 and 1967 were so rampant? He allowed communion in the hand so that those who originally were disobedient could now be seen as obedient, without changing their ways. These sorts of abuses will most likely just be ignored, or they will essentially be sanated, and those of us who are offended will be compared to rigid religious authorities from the time of Christ (as it’s anti-semitic to call people Pharisees nowadays ).

Und etliche schöne Weihnachtsbräuche hat es bei uns, schon lange her, aber auch gegeben! Wie zB das Christkindleinwiegen am Altar und von Bank zu Bank etc. Wenn man über diese längst vergangenen Bräuche liest, gerät man geradezu ins Schwärmen.
Und wie herzlich geliebt wurden in früheren Zeiten die Jesus-Kinder... Heute aber alles vergessen.
Und etliche schöne Weihnachtsbräuche hat es bei uns, schon lange her, aber auch gegeben! Wie zB das Christkindleinwiegen am Altar und von Bank zu Bank etc. Wenn man über diese längst vergangenen Bräuche liest, gerät man geradezu ins Schwärmen.

In "Menschen" berichtet der 75-jährige über sein Leben und Wirken als Seelsorger in Schweinfurt. Ausserdem verrät er, ob er es im Ruhestand etwas ruhiger angehen lässt, und was er ändern würde wenn er Papst wäre.
Als Pfarrer der katholischen Kirchengemeinde St. Michael in Schweinfurt sorgte er mit seinen progressiven Ideen schon oft für Schlagzeilen. Er hielt Motorradgottesdienste ab, regte einen Solidarfonds für Arbeitslose an und bot einen Ehe-TÜV an. Nicht immer stießen seine Ideen beim Bistum Würzburg auf Zustimmung. Die Schweinfurter jedoch dankten es ihm mit einer stets voll besetzten Kirche.

Dieser Priester muss halt auch - wie jeder andere Mensch - den Wald kennen lernen, aus dem es so herausschallt, wie man hineinruft. Das macht ihm nichts aus. Er findet das bestimmt sogar schön, wenn ihn möglichst viele Tradis "beleidigen", denn damit fühlt er sich im Recht.
Von daher würde ich sagen: Liebe Leute, hört auf zurück zu schießen, denn damit fühlt sich dieser abgefallene Priester nur mehr bestätigt.
