Running Gloria.tv is not an easy task. Neither is reading it, contributing to it, discussing on it, accepting other users, or donating to keep it alive. Yet together we have built the only Catholic social media platform. It serves the Faith. It serves its users. And increasingly, it serves freedom. Gloria.tv is financed entirely by donations. Almost all of them are small; many are very small. They are given for God's sake. There are no tax deductions. There are no foundations. There are no wealthy sponsors with agendas. There is only the support of ordinary people, many of them retired, who believe that Gloria.tv should exist. Every summer brings the same challenge. Donations decline sharply, while the costs of operating Gloria.tv remain the same. That is why your donation is greatly appreciated - or rather, needed. If you can help, please donate. You can donate with Credit Card or Paypal #newsYrilstvhyu

The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University. He pointed to "two developments during the pontificate of Leo XIV". The first was a remark Leo XIV made during his trip to Africa in April, when he said that “the unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.” Cardinal McElroy commented: “Too often both in magisterial statements and on the popular level, sexual sins have been condemned with an ardor that effectively places them in the eyes of many believers as the core moral obligation of Christians.” Leo XIV instead pointed “to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life.” The second development cited by McElroy was the publication of the report of synod's Study Group 9 in May and …بیشتر
"[T]he unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.” . I agree with this completely, however it is the fruitcake community who insist upon showcasing their respective highly disordered natures. They are the source and cause of the division.
Pope Leo Sings With Children at Vatican Summer Camp - Shalom World News Pope Leo shared a joyful musical moment with children at the Vatican’s summer camp, joining them in singing "Jesus Christ, You Are My Life," the official hymn of World Youth Day 2000. Speaking to the children in the Paul VI Hall, the Pope encouraged them to build genuine friendships through playing, talking, and praying together. While praising the benefits of technology, he warned against spending too much time on phones and screens.
Popes used to avoid accepting secular prizes and awards. Leo XIV will accept/receive the 2026 Liberty Medal from the internationally unknown National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. They honour his support for religious liberty and freedom of conscience, and human dignity - all of them non-Catholic ideological frameworks. The award will be presented on July 3, ahead of the 250th anniversary of American independence. The Pope is expected to accept the medal virtually from the Vatican. The National Constitution Center describes itself as a nonpartisan institution dedicated to constitutional education. However, it is part of the American establishment civic ecosystem and often hosts former presidents, senior government officials, judges, military leaders, and foreign-policy figures.

Saint John's Eve - June 23 Saint John's Eve, starting at sunset on 23 June, is the eve of celebration before the Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist. The Gospel of Luke (Luke 1:26–37, 56-57) states that John was born six months before Jesus; therefore, the feast of John the Baptist was fixed on 24 June, six months before Christmas according to the old Roman calculation (ante diem VIII Kalendas Iulias). This feast day is one of the very few saints' days which commemorates the anniversary of the birth, rather than the death, of the saint being honored. The Feast of Saint John closely coincides with the June solstice, also referred to as Midsummer in the Northern Hemisphere. The Christian holy day is fixed at 24 June; but in most countries festivities are mostly held the night before, on Saint John's Eve. This holiday is celebrated in many places. Saint John's Day, the feast day of Saint John the Baptist, was established by the undivided Christian Church in the 4th century A.D., in honour …بیشتر

Sunday, 22nd June 1913 Jurors, Not Newspapers, To Return Frank Verdict, Declares Old Reporter Sunday, June 22, 1913 Writer Declares He Has Only Worked for Fair Trial and Fair Play—Race Question Is No Issue in Phagan Case—Rosser Not Writer. By AN OLD POLICE REPORTER. There were few developments in the Phagan case last week that to my mind were worth considering seriously or that threw new light upon the mystery. Perhaps it was because of this that a good many people wrote letters to "The Old Police Reporter"—some commending my articles, others condemning them; but in every case indicating clearly that the interest has not lessened. I observe that some of the State newspapers are publishing foolish little paragraphs, bearing the Atlanta date line, to the effect that the Hearst newspapers have been "bought to defend Frank." This is too foolish to notice. Still other newspapers are taking advantage of the silly season to point out various phases of the case that to my mind are neither …بیشتر
Four actors in search of meaning. What does it mean for a believing actor to work in the entertainment world today? Some actors and actresses discussed the experiences that have impacted them: "Film, being a medium that reaches a large number of hearts, is a great gift and privilege for communicating with so many people ... and to reflect and think about personal life issues. The cinema as an artistic medium is a great art form, privileged to be able to educate, and in a sense, to open the hearts and eyes of people. " "To make a different film to erase the negative image of Latinos that Hollywood has tried to perpetuate for the last 40 years. The idea of forming a film production company, called Metanoiafilms, with the mission of producing films that have the potential not only to entertain the audience, but to make a difference in our society by raising, healing and respecting the dignity of human beings, movies that touch the hearts of the audience and raise the minds of the audience …بیشتر
