The Mass in the Roman rite touches on the very idea of tradition in the Church, Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline of Marseille, president of the French bishops, told KTO on April 5. Bishops are called to show “pastoral solicitude” toward those Catholics: “First, to welcome them. It is not about judging them.” He added that this welcome should not begin by trying to redirect them and “not to say: 'they should go elsewhere or do it differently'.” At the same time, Cardinal Aveline emphasized that this welcome must remain within the framework of official Church structures: “Tradition goes all the way to the last council, including the Second Vatican Council.” Cardinal Aveline added that the liturgy and Vatican II “is not necessarily irreconcilable” as there is “a hermeneutic of continuity”. Councils “do not abolish previous ones.” On the announcement of episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X., Cardinal Aveline spoke of “a cause of sadness.” He believes: “It is …ច្រើន
There was definitely skulduggery at VII and the Vatican has to come to terms with the fact the Holy Ghost doesn’t come to the assistance of those not interested in the Divine Will.
Acts of the Apostles 4,23-31. After their release Peter and John went back to their own people and reported what the chief priests and elders had told them. And when they heard it, they raised their voices to God with one accord and said, "Sovereign Lord, maker of heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them, you said by the holy Spirit through the mouth of our father David, your servant: 'Why did the Gentiles rage and the peoples entertain folly? The kings of the earth took their stand and the princes gathered together against the Lord and against his anointed.' Indeed they gathered in this city against your holy servant Jesus whom you anointed, Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do what your hand and (your) will had long ago planned to take place. And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness, as you stretch forth (your) hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done through …ច្រើន
Apostelgeschichte 4,23-31. ច្រើន

The Holy Eucharist stolen, faithful attacked during adoration in Mexico In the early hours of Holy Saturday, masked attackers stormed a Eucharistic adoration chapel in the Diocese of Tlaxcala, Mexico, assaulting worshippers and stealing a ciborium containing consecrated hosts. Bishop Julio C. Salcedo Aquino reported that the faithful in San Lucas Cuauhtelulpan were threatened, beaten, and robbed. He condemned the theft of the Eucharist as a grave offense carrying automatic excommunication. He called on the faithful to pray for the perpetrators’ repentance and the return of the sacred hosts, and urged parishes to hold “Days of Eucharistic Prayer.” A rite of reparation will take place on April 11 in San Lucas Cuauhtelulpan. Pray for the Church against all forms of attack.
Iraqi Emil Shimoun Nona, 58, current Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand, has been elected Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church. He took the name Paul III. Nona succeeds Louis Raphaël I Sako, who had led the Church since 2013. The election was announced on Sunday following a synod of Chaldean bishops held in Rome. Born in Iraq, Nona led the Archdiocese of Mosul from 2010 until 2015. He left Mosul in 2014 when Islamic State (ISIS) took over and Christians were expelled. He later served as archbishop based in Sydney. The patriarchate is traditionally based in Baghdad, but much of its life today is centered in diaspora communities across Europe, North America, and Australia. The Chaldeans are an Eastern Catholic Church in communion with the Vatican and the largest Christian group in Iraq. #newsDnasdkxwhl
At 6:25 p.m., Vatican Radio announced something astonishing: that the smoke had indeed been white, but that it was supposed to be black, and that therefore there had been a mistake and that presumably no one had been elected! Following this, the radio broadcast a music program until 6:32 p.m. At the same time, the various guards were ordered to return to their barracks. fumee-blanche-26-10-1958.blogspot.com/2025/12/fum…

@Father Karl A Claver Not sure why they would say that. Although there is a substantial presence of Melkites in Lebanon (my former pastor was a Melkite from Lebanon), the majority of Catholics in Lebanon are, and have been for many centuries, Maronite.

Look to the heights... And contemplate My Face. The Face of your God. The Face of your Savior. The Face of the One... Who loves you in truth. I see you enveloped in wars, In bloody persecutions... And moral persecutions. You live in the miasma of sin, Your own and those of others. You live the subjugation... Of immorality and the rejection of God. You live the continual oppression... Of the hatred and envy of Satan. My child... I see it all. So LOOK UP TO THE HEIGHTS! LOOK UP TO HEAVEN! Listen to the One... Who speaks Words of Truth. Words of Hope. How many lies surround you... The anti-Catholic Robert Prevost, in his continued rebellion against God and the Church, appoints the apostate Claudio Pablo Castricone—an ally of the anti-Catholic Bergoglio—to the former diocese of the homosexual Zanchetta.
On 10 April, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Claudio Pablo Castricone as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Orán in Argentina. Born on 16 April 1958 in Villa Constitución, he was ordained a priest in 1984. Monsignor Castricone has openly identified with Francis’s destructive programme for decades. The article's photograph shows him meeting Cardinal Bergoglio in Misiones, northern Argentina, in 2007. Diocese of Orán: Ruined by Homosexual Leadership The diocese of Orán is famous because it was led by the homosexual Gustavo Oscar Zanchetta, another close associate of Francis, from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, Francis accepted Zanchetta’s resignation for 'health reasons' and soon after appointed him to a Vatican financial role. It later emerged that priests had reported Zanchetta to Rome for possessing pornographic images of young men on his phone. He was also notorious for financial misconduct and abuse of authority. In 2022, he was convicted by an Argentine court of homosexually abusing two …ច្រើន
This is the priest who died on the Titanic to hear confessions and administer last rites. Given the opportunity to board a lifeboat on two separate occasions, Father Thomas Byles firmly declined. He chose instead to stay behind, absolving sins and consoling the doomed passengers. Following the vessel's collision with the iceberg, he assembled the remaining crowds on the aft deck. Those who lived through the disaster recalled him standing bravely amid the panic, listening to confessions, granting collective absolution, and reciting the Rosary right up until the ocean claimed the stern. This is the type of story we should elevate, heroic virtue. May the Lord bless us with more holy men possessing the courage of Father Thomas Byles.
