A 31-year-old Polish man, identified by regional media as Bartłomiej Włodzimierz Krakowiak, has been arrested for vandalizing the Marian shrine of Medjugorje during the night of 27–28 July, just days before Mladifest, which is expected to attract around 50,000 young pilgrims. "Medjugorje Is a Deception" The suspect allegedly poured black paint over statues of the Virgin Mary on Apparition Hill and at the Blue Cross, wrote "Devil in a skirt" on one statue. He hung banners accusing the six visionaries of being "frauds - I have proof", spray-painted slogans including "Medjugorje is a deception," "Only Jesus," and "Mary = devil," and set fire to the recently renovated outdoor altar behind St. James Church. He was arrested hours later in Černo, near Ljubuški, heading toward the Croatian border. Former Pilgrim The case is particularly striking because the suspect had previously visited Medjugorje as a pilgrim. Regional media report that in 2017 he walked 1,300 km from Warsaw to the shrine, …المزيد

Around 500 nude volunteers gathered outside the Cathedral of Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, on Sunday for a photographic installation by American artist Spencer Tunick as part of the Culture & Business Pride festival. Participants, painted in the rainbow colors, posed in front of the cathedral on the feast of St. Anne, the city's patron saint. The project was planned in advance as an official festival event, with backing from local tourism and government bodies. Organizers said the artwork celebrated diversity and homosexuality. According to El País, the local bishop, Monsignor José Mazuelos, said he did not object to the nude performance in front of his cathedral: "I have no problem. When we go to the beach, we see naked bodies, don't we?" His complaint was instead about access restrictions that temporarily delayed clergy and parishioners attending the 10 a.m. Eucharist. He also described the event as "marketing for the city," adding he supported it insofar as it promoted …المزيد
This abomination was well planned, especially on the feast day of Our Lady's Mother 'Saint Anne', the patron Saint of Spain. It would be advisable to stand up and fight back young Catholic men of Spain, with a Rosary in one hand and a Scapular in the other (weapon and Armor) whilst praying the Rosary! ~ God help Catholic Spain!
Rev. Gerald Murray Questions Vatican's Rupnik Trial: The New York-based canon lawyer criticises the lack of transparency in the Vatican's canonical trial against Marko Rupnik. "Why don't we know who the judges are?" he asked talking to Raymond Arroyo on 25 July. Rev Murray also pointed out that "we don't know which charges" are being levelled against Rupnik. Finally, he argues that victims who provided evidence should have the right to participate in the process. "The whole thing is a horrific problem."

Patrick Buisson, the former adviser to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, named the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrier as the universal beneficiary of his estate in a will drafted in March 2021, reports LeMonde.fr on July 4. The community follows the traditional Dominican rite. Buisson died on December 26, 2023, at age 74. He bequeathed not only his personal assets but also a substantial collection of political archives, including manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, digital files and recordings from his years at the Élysée Palace. Archives relating to Sarkozy's presidency - including Buisson's secret recordings made between 2007 and 2012 - are at the center of an ongoing dispute. Buisson's son, Georges, has challenged the will and argues the archives are of public interest and should go to the French National Archives. There is an agreement in principle that the presidential archives will go to the National Archives, but the inheritance litigation continues. Founded in 1979 …المزيد

So far only two have been arrested and none are American. I can think of 15 off the top of my head. God Bless Thomas Massie for his efforts in transparency.

Berlin’s homosex march 'Christopher Street Day' is a “joyful and moving celebration.” That is what pro-homosexual Archbishop Heiner Koch of Berlin told KNA on Sunday. He spoke after an attack on the march on Saturday evening. One woman was killed, and at least 31 others were injured, some of them seriously. The attacker, Abdul B., 21, drove a car into the crowd and was later - conveniently for the justice system and politicians - shot dead during a police operation. The full context of Archbishop Koch's statement is: "How terrible! To brutally destroy such a joyful and moving celebration. We keep all the victims, their families, friends, and everyone whose joy has been taken away by hatred in our prayers. Hatred must not prevail." Abdul B. was born in Berlin in 2005 and grew up there. His parents are from Lebanon, and he held German citizenship. His family belongs to a large extended clan. He had been known to the security authorities for years and was considered part of the Islamist …المزيد

The Vatican has published new guidelines today, "Recollecting: Accompanying the Preparation of the Local Church's Evaluation Assembly," for the next stage of the Synod on Synodality. Every diocese is required to hold evaluation assemblies during the first half of 2027 to assess how the Synod's Final Document has been implemented. Bishops will lead the evaluation, establish or reactivate synodal teams, and approve a six- to eight-page narrative report to be submitted to Rome. They are also instructed to describe "transformations in decision-making processes, and reforms of structures" as part of their narrative report. Interreligious synodality Each diocese will also hold an evaluation assembly using the method of "conversation in the Spirit." The guidelines state that dioceses should consider inviting "representatives of other Christian Churches and communities or other religions as observers." Lay access to "leadership roles" The document repeatedly says synodality is not a temporary …المزيد

Medjugorje's Answer Was Not Anger; It Was Prayer, Forgiveness, and Hope - Shalom World News They covered Our Lady with paint. They tried to scar a place of prayer. But they could not extinguish what lives in the hearts of believers. The wounds inflicted on the sacred spaces of Medjugorje have already begun to heal. Volunteers and parish workers immediately came together to clean, restore, and prepare the sanctuary once again, ensuring that every pilgrim can continue to encounter Christ in prayer under the loving gaze of the Queen of Peace. Yet the most powerful response has not been brushes, water, or repairs—it has been the Gospel. For more than forty years, Our Lady's message in Medjugorje has remained the same: pray, fast, forgive, and choose peace. In the face of hatred, the parish has chosen mercy.
