26 Years Later: Why Jeanette Hall Is Still Grateful to Be Alive: In Oregon, USA, on July 17, 2000, Jeanette Hall was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Believing she had no future, she asked her doctor for assisted suicide under Oregon's newly enacted law. Instead of writing the prescription, Dr. Kenneth Stevens took the time to understand her fears and encouraged her to consider treatment. One question changed everything: "Wouldn't you like to see your son graduate from the police academy?" Jeanette chose treatment. She survived, attended her son's graduation, and years later told Dr. Stevens: "You saved my life. If I had gone to a doctor that believed in assisted suicide, I would not be here."
The contribution of three women - two religious sisters and one laywoman - at the Dicastery for Bishops is "highly valued and important," the Prefect, Archbishop Filippo Iannone, told Glas-Koncila.hr on July 14. As head of the Dicastery for Bishops, Monsignor Iannone oversees the Vatican office responsible for evaluating candidates for bishopric. However, many of these appointments are very controversial and difficult to justify from a Catholic perspective. Appointments are one of the most important ways in which a pope exercises governance and reveals his true priorities. Francis announced in July 2022 that women would become members of the Dicastery for Bishops for the first time in history. He then appointed Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat and María Lía Zervino. Leo XIV retained the reform by confirming Petrini and Zervino as members and appointing Sr. Simona Brambilla. Reungoat's term ended. All four women are closely associated with the Francis-era deform agenda and its …ଅଧିକ

In her last ever live interview, just four hours before she was murdered, Ann Widdecombe warned of a hidden "establishment" operating behind the scenes of UK politics. Some people—including former UK PM Liz Truss—have referred to this hidden establishment as the "deep state". "I didn't always believe in that theory, but I do think now that different parts of the establishment act in ways which I think are extremely questionable."
Trudeau Appears in Katy Perry’s Video Watch It Burn: Katy Perry’s new Watch It Burn promo briefly features former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the background. The music video includes scenes inside a church, with Perry shown sitting in a church pew. The imagery, combined with the lyric 'watch it burn', is reminiscent of the wave of church arsons in Canada during Trudeau's time in office. Since 2021, more than 120 churches have been damaged by arson or vandalism.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared in the background of a promotional video for girlfriend Katy Perry’s latest music video titled “Watch It Burn” that has led to speculation of a connection to churches burning down in Canada over the past five years.
Three scheduled Masses in the Roman rite in August at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, are likely to be cancelled unless the Diocese of Versailles authorizes a priest to celebrate them. Earlier this year, after months of dialogue, the diocese reached an agreement with representatives of the faithful to ensure that the Latin Mass would be celebrated every Sunday and holy day throughout the year. According to Paix Liturgique (15 July), the Diocese of Versailles acknowledged that it might be unable to provide priests for several summer dates and invited the faithful to propose canonically regular priests to fill the gaps. Most of the missing celebrations have since been covered, but the Masses scheduled for 2, 9, and 23 August remain without an approved celebrant. The faithful say that Rev. Jacques-Pascal Bosi, a priest in good standing of the Diocese of Gap-Embrun who is currently serving on mission in Paris, is available to celebrate the remaining Masses. They state that the Diocese of …ଅଧିକ
At the largest and most influential of these, the Secretariat of State, Pope Leo XIV could replace Cardinal Pietro Parolin as Secretary of State as early as this summer, according to several diplomatic and Vatican sources who spoke to The Pillar... ...The question of who might succeed Gambetti at Saint Peter’s is more complicated. Vatican sources told The Pillar that Parolin himself might be appointed to the position. However, other senior sources told The Pillar that the pope intended to move Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, current archpriest of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major to the position, while other rumors point to the appointment of Archbishop Diego Ravelli, Master of Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations...
Today, Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor Michael Router, 61, as Bishop of Derry, Ireland. He was ordained a priest in 1989 for the Diocese of Kilmore and has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh since 2019. Francis Was "Commited to Gospel" In April 2025, Bishop Router wrote a warm statement on Francis's death. He described the late pope as a spiritual and inspirational leader who guided the faithful over twelve years with humility, compassion, and commitment to the Gospel. He also said Francis embodied simplicity and service from his earliest days as priest and bishop. Demanding Irish Houses for Immigrants On [Muslim] immigrants, in a January 2020 statement, Bishop Router urged Ireland, as the country of "a thousand welcomes," to consider with compassion its responsibility to welcome the stranger. Archbishop Wrote That Leo XIV Shares Pro-Homosexual Agenda: The pro-homosexual final report of the Synod's Study Group Number 9 should not surprise anybody, because certain bishops are encouraging the homosex community, Cardinal Burke told Edward Pentin in a recent video interview. These bishops claim that the Church is changing and that the homosexuals should continue in their sinful ways. Cardinal Burke mentioned the letter from an Archbishop who claimed that "Leo XIV shared this view, because he doesn’t talk about sexual morality." For Cardinal Burke it is completely irresponsible to write something like that.
I often wonder how people can formulate grammatical sentences completely detached from reality. These migrants choose to leave their homes for financial advantage. The transition from one's home to a foreign land, like the Pilgrims, requires struggle and sacrifice. If dignity is the lifestyle of the native Europeans, then, of course the migrants will be below that standard. Again, the Pilgrims, but for iron tools, were worse off than the native Americans when they arrived. On the other side, the good father seems to imply that it is the obligation of the natives to address this difference with zero concern as to whose money, housing and jobs will be taken to achieve this "dignity." I think the Apostolic Faith is eminently practical. It asks charity from the faithful but does not expect poverty will be eliminated (the poor you will have with you always). The Modernist Faith looks at any inequity and sees it as injustice. There is no recognition of God's permissive will to allow every …ଅଧିକ
Talking to Diane Montagna on July 16, Cardinal Robert Sarah argues that Leo XIV wants to allow the Roman rite, but fails because of the bishops and that the pope will be “very prudent” about the dissemination of the pro-homosexual final text of the synod's Study Group Number 9. On Leo XIV's letter to the French bishops "It seems to me that the Holy Father did well to write to the French Bishops, encouraging them to be more open to the traditional Mass, because it is a Mass we have celebrated for centuries." Follow what Leo XIV says "I think that what was written to the French Bishops must apply to all bishops: be more open, so as not to create division for no reason." "We must follow what Pope Leo says - that is, not be so averse toward something holy, something beautiful, something conducive to recollection." Traditionis Custodes should be abrogated "Yes, let's hope so. This depends on the Holy Father's decision, but perhaps the Holy Father could be helped. If, for example, in a Consistory …ଅଧିକ
Cardinal Robert Sarah questioned whether the Church has authority to suppress the Traditional Latin Mass and urged bishops to be more open to the faithful devoted to it.
The word salad Cardinal Sarah is talking about: Finally, dear brothers, you intend to address the delicate theme of the Liturgy, to which the Holy Father is particularly attentive, in the context of the growth of communities attached to the Vetus Ordo. It is troubling that a painful wound continues to open in the Church concerning the celebration of the Mass, the very sacrament of unity. To heal it, a fresh regard from each person toward the other, with a greater understanding of the other's sensibility, is surely needed — a regard that could allow brothers enriched by their diversity to welcome one another mutually, in charity and in the unity of faith. May the Holy Spirit suggest to you concrete solutions that would generously include those sincerely attached to the Vetus Ordo, while respecting the orientations set forth by the Second Vatican Council regarding the Liturgy. --Cardinal Pietro Parolin The Modernists use obscurity and wiggle words. They know if the Modernist theology gets …ଅଧିକ
Leo XIV Appoints Indian Bishop Practicing Indigenous Adivasi Rites: Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed the indigenious Bishop Albert Hemrom, 57, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Guwahati, India. This video was taken in October 2023 when he celebrated the silver jubilee of St John Vianney Church in Uriamghat, Assam. Monsignor Hemrom participated in the Aarti ceremony with the Adivasi community. Women held ceremonial brass platters (thali). Incense was waved before the bishop to purify him and invoke blessings. Then, a red tilak blessing mark was placed on his forehead. Finally, he was presented with a traditional Assamese gamosa, a handwoven white-and-red ceremonial scarf, which was draped around his neck.
Leo XIV promoted this Bishop, Dr. Albert Hemrom to a major Archdicoese. The video shows him at the St John Vianney Church at Uriamghat for their Silver Jubilee.
The Test: Roman magistrates gave arrested Christians a chance to go free. All they had to do was scatter a pinch of incense on an altar fire to the pagan gods or to the genius of the Emperor. That "single pinch of incense" was the definitive test of the ancient world. It is most famously associated with St. Polycarp, the Bishop of Smyrna, who was martyred around 155–156 AD.
