Milan Archbishop Mario Delpini has issued new funeral guidelines. He reaffimed that funerals must be free, with only voluntary donations permitted. Funeral agencies cannot include Church fees in their price lists or dictate religious arrangements. Delpini also calls for limiting lengthy farewell speeches, preferably holding them after the liturgy. Catholic funerals cannot take place in private farewell rooms. While cremation is permitted, Delpini reiterates the Church’s prohibition on keeping ashes at home and proposes designated spaces for urns inside churches.
Explanation. Ephesians 6:12 (Spiritual Warfare) "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places." And Romans 8:38–39 (Inseparability from God's Love) "For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." The real reason behind what is going on – this attack on me and all those false accusations is my scientific work. I am being under attack from other angles as well, also without a reason, even by random people. In the next 1-2 weeks I will publish (probably not here but on my website) a first part of the two-three-part series about the built and structure of the Universe and more later on. Cardinal Burke denies the pre-conclave dinners. Cardinal Raymond Burke had denied hosting the dinners at his Roman apartment that allegedly helped secure Leo XIV’s election, writes Phil Lawler on CatholicCulture.org on October 29. The sensational story of the dinner parties at Cardinal Burke’s Rome apartment was published by the homosexual journalist Francesco Capozza on IlTempo.it in August. It is circulating again because RorateCaeli.blogspot.com translated the article on October 25. Capozza does not identify a single source, relying instead on anonymous accounts attributed to participants and an unnamed cardinal. The article suggests that two dinners at Cardinal Burke’s apartment helped secure 20–25 votes for Cardinal Prevost. Lawler does not cite a source for the denial either. Multiple sources had said that Cardinal Raymond Burke denied hosting the meetings, “Cardinal Burke says that no such parties took place - at least not to his knowledge, and certainly not in his apartment.” …Bongata
Bishop Marian Eleganti: “The Vatican Cuts a Poor Figure”. Retired Swiss Bishop Marian Eleganti condemns the exclusion of Catholics from St. Peter’s Basilica on October 24: “This year’s ban on access to St. Peter’s Basilica for the tradition-minded pilgrims of ‘Ad Petri Sedem’ borders on hostility toward Catholics who are loyal to the Pope and orthodox in their faith. It has nothing to do with concern for unity in the Church or with operational difficulties in organizing liturgical celebrations in St. Peter’s Basilica.” “Synodal hypocrisy (inclusivity) has thereby revealed itself for what it is.” Bishop Eleganti notes that the “Ad Petri Sedem” pilgrims are not the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX): “We have known it for a long time: Certain people are inclusive only as long as it serves their own goals. They ruthlessly and cold-bloodedly exclude different ways of thinking and different approaches to pastoral care and spirituality. This has been my consistent experience.” “So-…Bongata
Arkansas has been named the most pro-life state in the nation for the seventh year in a row, according to Americans United for Life’s annual Life List. The ranking was announced Wednesday with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Americans United for Life scores all 50 states on their protections for life in law across bioethical issues from conception to natural death, not solely abortion. Louisiana ranked second. “I’m incredibly proud that Arkansas is ranked the most pro-life state in the nation for the seventh year in a row,” Gov. Sanders said. “Every life is a gift from our Creator, made in His image, and is worth defending. As Governor, I will continue fighting for every Arkansan, at every stage of life, and make our state the best place to live, work, and raise a family.” John Mize, CEO of Americans United for Life, said the ranking reflects sustained partnership and leadership. He then says there is no place for rainbow flags in the Church, juxtaposing such symbols with the Nazi swastika and Soviet red banner. Interviewer: Jan C. Bentz, 21. October 2026. A historic verdict in Poland. For the first time, a Catholic bishop has been convicted for failing to report clerical homosexual abuse. Bishop Andrzej Jeż has announced that he will appeal the verdict. Today, October 29, a court in Tarnów convicted Bishop Jeż, 63, of failing to promptly report allegations of child homosexual abuse involving two priests in his diocese. It is the first conviction of a serving Catholic bishop in Poland for such an offense. The court sentenced Bishop Jeż to two years of restricted liberty, requiring him to surrender 25% of his monthly salary to a foundation supporting abused children. He must also pay 20,000 złoty into a victims' assistance fund. The case concerns allegations against two priests, Stanisław P. and Tomasz K. One priest was implicated in the abuse of at least 95 boys between 1987 and 2008. Church authorities had investigated allegations against Stanisław P. in the 2000s and dismissed him from the clergy in 2013. In July 2017, Poland introduced …Bongata

The Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage has been kicked out of its conference venue for next year. The Augustinianum, a conference venue run by the Augustinian order near St. Peter’s Basilica, will reportedly no longer be available to the Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage from 2027. Luigi Casalini of MessaInLatino.it revealed this in an interview with @Fede & Cultura, citing information from the pilgrimage’s main organizer. Vatican pressure on Italian police? Casalini also said he had been told that the Vatican contacted Italian police to ask whether the procession had all the necessary permits and authorizations.

The Gates Foundation sponsored the Assisi interreligious meeting. The Bill Gates Foundation is listed as the first “Platinum” sponsor of the international interreligious peace gathering organized by the Catholic Community of Sant’Egidio in Assisi, Italy, from October 25–27, 2026. Pope Leo XIV cancelled his planned attendance, reportedly for health reasons. The Gates Foundation appeared in the highest sponsorship category alongside two other organizations: BFIO and Fondazione Cariplo, an Italian philanthropic foundation. The German Bishops’ Conference was also listed among the event’s official partners. The amount contributed by the Gates Foundation to the Assisi meeting has not been publicly disclosed. Neither have any specific conditions or agreements associated with its sponsorship. #newsWsndgkablw
