Jesus Mosaic from Plastic Bottle Caps: Students from Instituto Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have created a mosaic of the face of Jesus using thousands of plastic bottle caps. The face is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. The project was shared by their art teacher, Sebastián Ramírez. He included the phrase "Soli Deo Gloria" ("Glory to God alone") in the post. The students have previously created mosaics honoring Pope Francis, Salvador Dalí, and Lionel Messi.

A group of young people in Argentina is inspiring thousands online with a stunning mosaic of Jesus—made entirely from plastic bottle caps. The massive artwork recreates the iconic face of Christ inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper

Bishop Morerod: FSSPX Treated "Ecumenical", Like a Non-Catholic Community

Bishop Charles Morerod of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Switzerland, said he no longer sees how a request to use a diocesan church for an FSSPX event could be granted today.
He was asked about October 5, 2019, when the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X celebrated its 50th anniversary at St. Maurice Church in Fribourg. Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre opened its first house of formation for seminarians in Fribourg in October 1969 before moving the seminary to Ecône in 1970.
Speaking to Cath.ch on July 12, Bishop Morerod explained that his 2019 decision reflected a different moment in the relationship between the Priestly Fraternity and Rome: "When I approved the use of a diocesan church back then, it was done in a spirit of goodwill, at a time when a rapprochement between the FSSPX and Rome was still possible."
He added that the FSSPX has "no intention whatsoever of entering into any process of reconciliation."
Bishop Morerod said future dialogue would be on different terms:…مزید

" Bishop Charles Morerod of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Switzerland, said he no longer sees how a request to use a diocesan church for an FSSPX event could be granted today."
" It will certainly be necessary to begin an ecumenically oriented dialogue with the FSSPX, similar to the one we maintain with other communities that are not in communion with Rome.""
---
Bishop Morerod is completely illogical: today - if SSPX is deemed by Post-Conciliar Church in the same position as "ecumenical" "separated brothers" in "imperfect communion" then even basilicas in Rome or even the Lateran cathedral should be granted to them today (cf. Mrs. Sarah last visit in Rome and Anglican "Mass" at Lateran in 2023 as examples).

Swiss Pop Singer Films Lesbian Video in Historic Church: A 22-year-old Swiss pop singer filmed a music video with her girlfriend inside St. Emmeram Church in Regensburg, Germany. The video was intended to promote her song 'You Believe in Jesus, I Believe in Pussy', which celebrates her lesbian relationship. According to the parish, no filming permit had been granted. The matter has been referred to lawyers, and the video has since been removed from the internet.

D: Popsängerin dreht unerlaubt in bayerischer Kirche

Bishop Suspends Six Priests, Introduces Strict Discipline

Bishop Hieronymus Emusugut Joya of Maralal, Kenya, has suspended six diocesan priests as part of a sweeping package of measures. They are aimed at strengthening discipline and financial accountability.
The suspensions follow allegations of abuse of ecclesiastical authority, administrative negligence, and the mismanagement of Church property. Announcing the decision during Mass on 12 July, Bishop Joya said he had acted only after receiving credible evidence.
The suspensions affect a significant proportion of the diocese's clergy. Established by St. John Paul II in 2001, the diocese has 15 parishes served by 30 diocesan priests.
Alongside the suspensions, Bishop Joya introduced a series of disciplinary and administrative directives for clergy, including:
- Priests must return to their residences by 7:00 p.m. for evening prayer.
- Priests require the bishop's permission to spend the night away from their residence.
- No lay person may stay overnight in a priest's residence without prior …مزید

Doctors Call for Patients to Be Killed for Their Organs - Slay News

A group of leading medical professionals has provoked widespread concerns after proposing that doctors should be allowed to kill their patients in order to harvest their body parts through a process they call “death by organ donation.” The bone-chilling call was made in a new article published in the New England Journal of Medicine. The article, titled “Contextualizing the Dead Donor Rule in an Era of Voluntary Euthanasia,” was written by Harvard University’s Dr. Robert Truog and colleagues. The authors argue that the medical system has already redefined death to support modern organ harvesting practices. They now say “death by organ donation” should be viewed as the next step. At the center of the debate is the Dead Donor Rule. The rule is supposed to be one of the basic ethical limits protecting patients. It says patients must be dead before their organs are removed and that doctors must not cause death by procuring organs. That rule is meant to preserve public trust in the transplant …

Euthanasia Bill Rapporteur Attends Mass, Takes Offense at Anti-Euthanasia Homily

"One does not care for life by giving death," Father François Yambressinga, parish priest of La Madeleine in Châteaudun, said during his July 5 homily, before the French National Assembly's final vote on legalizing euthanasia tomorrow. He urged the faithful to "pray for life" and to "pray for parliamentarians so that they do not do just anything."
Among the congregation was Philippe Vigier, the bill's general rapporteur. He is also the mayor of Châteaudun and a member of the National Assembly for Les Démocrates.
Vigier attended the Mass because it was part of the town's annual Foire aux Laines medieval festival. Civic officials appear in costume. He sat in the front row dressed as the fifteenth-century military commander Jean de Dunois.
Afterward, Vigier told L'Écho Républicain that he felt personally targeted and "deeply hurt" by the homily. "The priest appealed to the congregation while I had no opportunity to respond. That is unacceptable," he said.
According to witnesses cited by …مزید

Archbishop Aguer: Traditionis Custodes Fueled Interest in the Roman Rite

Traditionis Custodes (2021) deepened wounds and, contrary to what Pope Francis intended, contributed to growing interest in the Roman rite, Archbishop Emeritus Héctor Aguer, 83, of La Plata, Argentina, wrote in a July 13 statement.
He notes that the Roman rite is especially popular among the young and contributes to “a good portion of conversions.”
“The transmission of the faith,” he adds, “is no longer passed, to a significant degree, from parents to children but from young people to young people.”
Monsignor Aguer says that “persecution or the extreme measures of progressivism” will not stop this growing movement. It goes “far beyond mere fashion” - whereas the fashion over the past sixty years has been to turn the Novus Ordo into an anything-goes vehicle of liturgical devastation.
He writes that the four Eucharistic Prayers of the Novus Ordo have effectively been displaced by “Eucharistic Prayer Zero” - whatever happens to occur to the celebrant at the moment.
In Argentina, the proportion …مزید

Archbishop Aguer, Argentina, on the Traditional Mass: “Traditionis Custodes, issued five years ago, far from healing the wounds, only deepened them. And contrary to what its promoter sought, it contributed to a growing interest in Tradition and Orthodoxy, especially among young people. Today, a good portion of conversions occur among those who prefer the ancient rite (of the Mass). And the transmission of the faith, to a great extent, is no longer passed from parents to children, but from young people to young people”

Seven Years in the SSPX

Written by Cassandra Hackstock
On a sunny Santa Clara mountainside, I stood in shocked silence. It was lunchtime at the retreat center, and the buffet was ready. Prayers were said, and everyone stood. An unassuming woman in a loose-fitting dress leaned over to me and to the other women, and said, “Stand by your chairs until the men have gone through the buffet line, and then we will eat.” My jaw dropped — I couldn’t help it. Most of the women accepted this business of the men eating first without any visible opinions, but there was sometimes another person present in Society gatherings who was more aligned with what I call “normal,” and as I looked at the other women, I found one. Her mouth was open, too, and we just looked at each other in disbelief.
During the retreat, this center would play audio commentary of the bombing of Dresden during World War II, with graphic descriptions of people being burned alive, at every meal, to show us how horrible hell would be. Definitely would be …مزید

A misogamist hates marriage. A misogynist hates women. How do you have "more stringent misogamist (sic) thinking" as a part of Catholicism? I attended a SSPX Chapel for more than a year and had a very bad experience as a result of the overall attitude toward women. Nothing about the treatment the women received was Catholic or even Christian. Young men sitting down while old women stood. Men busting through doors first and not holding them open. Men blocking the sidewalk while women were forced to walk on the soggy/muddy grass. Women dragging behind with small children and babies and the men not helping. There was just a general disdain for women that permeated the atmosphere. Example: small children running all around the parking lot while people were pulling out with their cars. I got out to direct them away from our car. One little boy would not get out of the way, just stood there looking at me, then to his father. He wouldn't move until his father told him to do so. THAT'S the level …مزید

I'm a married woman who has been attending the SSPX since her late twenties. And while I have witnessed some of the negative elements of which Miss Hackstock has highlighted, I do believed that the more stringent misogamist thinking stemmed not so much from the SSPX as a society but from His Lordship Bishop Williamson who I have personally met and talked to several times. Like every situation, your perception of a "whole" is coloured by your own personal experience, as well as prior ingrained beliefs. It can also be coloured by a lack of understanding of why a certain trend is encouraged. For example, in a world that is pressing us girls to dress and act like fellas, I think it is a good thing to stand against the tide and dress more elegantly in skirts. Obviously you do not have to - many of our female parishioners wear pants - but yes, it is strongly encouraged, because being a Catholic is more than just attending a Latin Mass, its about uplifting and refining ourselves culturally. …مزید

Homosexual Activists Invited to Leo XIV's Meeting with Civil Society

Madrid's homosexual activist group Crismhom published recently photos on social media from its attendance at Leo XIV's meeting with "civil society" during his visit to Spain.
On June 7, the group became the first homosexual organization officially invited to a papal event in Spain. The invitation came from pro-homosexual Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid.
Speaking to Artículo14.es, Crismhom president Ramón Legaspi Yrimia said the invitation showed "that the diverse Church exists and has a voice" and that "we, as LGBTI people, are part of the Church, not something foreign to it."
Later that day, Crismhom members attended the Pope's public Eucharist in Madrid, where they called for recognition of Catholic homosexual activists "as first-class Christians" and demanded access to the sacrament of marriage (!) "without distinction."

Northern Ireland: Carrying a Bible Can Be a Criminal Offence

On July 2, the Northern Ireland Policing Board published guidance on how Safe Access Zone legislation applies to hospital ministry.
The zones extend up to 100 metres (extendable to 250 metres) around premises that kill unborn children. Three groups are protected: mothers attending for abortion, anyone accompanying them, and staff.
The flagged activities are:
- prayer with patients during end-of-life care
- scripture reading requested by patients or families
- carrying Bibles or religious materials through public areas of hospitals
- consensual pastoral ministry within wards or hospital grounds
- visible religious practice within areas covered by Safe Access Zones
These religious actions could constitute an offence within a designated zone. It is enough if a "reasonable person" would consider them capable of influencing, or "causing distress" to, a mother seeking an abortion - even if there is no intent to do so.
The guidance states there is no exemption for clergy or religious activity …مزید

FSSPX Files Appeal against the July 2 Decree

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X is formally challenging the Vatican decree issued on 2 July by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith that excommunicated its six bishops. On 11 July, it filed the required preliminary appeal under canon law. According to the Society, this filing temporarily suspends the enforcement of the decree while the appeal process is underway.
Communiqué of 13 July
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X announces that, in response to the decree issued on 2 July 2026 by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, it submitted on 11 July a preliminary recourse to the same Dicastery, in accordance with canons 1734 and following of the Code of Canon Law.
This request, which constitutes the mandatory preliminary step before the possible introduction of a hierarchical recourse, has the effect of suspending the execution of the decree, in accordance with canon 1353 of the Code of Canon Law.
By this recourse, the Society intends to exercise the right which …مزید
